Introducing a new five crown coin commemorating the Centenary of the Battle of the Bullecourt. Fully layered in 24-carat gold and struck to a high specification, only 1,917 will be minted, available only from The Bradford Exchange.

9th April – 4th May, 1917 "The Blood Tub": It is said that in the face of adversity, the human shines its brightest. In the chapters of the history of the Great War, this stoic belief was often written in blood. In the spring of 1917 in northern France, our gallant troops took part in a series of battles in which their resolve, their courage and their unswerving devotion to the principles of mateship were tested to the limit. Nicknamed the "blood tub" the first Battle of Bullecourt saw the AIF 4th Division suffer 3,000 casualties and the second battle was even more horrendous. A new majestic crown coin has been released to commemorate the bravery of those who fought in these epic battles.

An impressive 110gm five crown weighing more than three times that of regular crowns. Despite its size, it has been entirely layered in pure 24-carat gold to create a coin worthy of such an important international event. This superb coin is the ultimate commemoration of the hard-fought Battle of Bullecourt. As part of its design, it features a striking battlefield and memorial motif. This is an important aspect of the design as the Battle of Bullecourt symbolises the raw courage of poorly supported ANZAC soldiers beset by an expert enemy well experienced in trench warfare. The dynamic scene features a barrage of exploding artillery shells on one side and, poignantly, grave markers on the other. In the foreground, the Bullecourt Digger watches over the scene in remembrance of lives lost and sacrifices that will never be forgotten. Struck to a high specification, only 1,917 will be minted. Arrives with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and FREE luxury deluxe presentation case. This is a coin of remarkable detail, quality and size, and now you have the opportunity to own one, but strong demand is expected so don't wait. Orders Yours Now!
