Battle by battle, under intense and unprecedented conditions, our troops fought communist forces in Phuoc Tuy and surrounding provinces, distinguishing themselves at Long Tan, Coral–Balmoral, Binh Ba and Long Khanh. Each who served added to the ANZAC legend on a daily basis.
In all, more than 60,000 Australian Defence Force personnel – including army, air force, navy, medical and ancillary staff – served in Vietnam, with 523 losing their lives and almost 2,400 wounded.
